Although other medium-sized sedans may have better fuel economy and more refined powertrains, the 2020 Subaru Legacy offers comfort, a fantastic multimedia system, and a long list of standard safety features.

Subaru has redesigned its mid-size sedan for next year, offering a new platform for Legacy, with beefier styling and a new, horizontally-opposed four-cylinder engine newly available for its XT models. This replaces the flat-six, which was popular in earlier models.

There are several features are worth discussing on the 2020 Subaru Legacy:

Comfort

The Legacy rides comfortably. Like many other Subaru vehicles, the evolution of this new automaker's global position has been a positive one. This vehicle excels in comfort, ride, sound isolation, and soft suspension tuning. The ride has excellent bump absorption and solid composure, making it ideal for long drives. An additional benefit is the standard all-wheel-drive system.

Huge Multimedia Screen

The new Legacy has a flashy, massive touchscreen, which measures 11.6 inches diagonally across. The screen features ergonomically placed knobs for volume and tuning. This feature is standard on most trims and is refreshingly easy to use. It utilizes huge, easy-to-read icons and menu setup that is simple and customizable. The symbols can be moved and configured to meet your individual needs, or it can be split down the middle to display different types of information. There are even climate controls embedded in the LCD, which are straightforward and readable.

Safety

Just like last year, Subaru has included its EyeSight bundle of driver-assistance technology as standard in the new Legacy models. This includes essentials such as adaptive cruise control, front collision warning systems, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure alerts.

New features added this year are the lane-centering function and the optional driver attention system that can use facial recognition software and a camera to spot driver fatigue or distraction, displaying an automatic warning on the car's touchscreen.
